A slave named Androcles once escaped from his master and fled to the forest. As he was wandering about there came upon a lion 1 down mourning(呻吟). At first he turned to flee, but finding that lion did not 2 after him, he turned back and went up to him. As he came near, the lion put out his paw, 3 was all swollen (腫大) and bleeding, and Androcles found that a huge thorn (刺) 4 into it, and was causing the pain. In the year 1818 the people of Missouri asked the Congress (國會) of the United States that Missouri be admitted as a state to the Union.

Martin Luther King, the son of a minister in the church, was born in 1929 in the southeast of the United States. When he was a boy, he 1 making friends and disliked 2 in any form.
