People are different from each other. That is what makes us all so interesting. We have different feelings and ideas about many topics. It is important to understand that in a given situation not everyone is having the same thoughts as you are. This is usually because of some of the following:
The other person has a different life experience from you into the topic.
The other person has more information or less information into the topic than you do.
The other person has more interest or less interest in the topic than you do.
Sometimes even people that you have a lot in common with may have a difference of opinion from you. This is okay. You don’t have to agree with everyone about a given topic.
If you spend time criticizing(批評) their point of view, they may be trying to understand why you think the way you do about same topic or situation.
It is important to accept that someone has a different opinion but it does not mean that you have to give up your own. Sometimes the best thing to say is, “Let’s agree to disagree” and then change the topic.
