The Phone Call
It was getting dark. Paul looked out of the window and signed (嘆氣) .Dad said he could come home by 5:30,but it was almost 7：00. E-ven if Dad came back,it wouldn’t be much fun playing 1 in the dark. There is an old English saying, “Laughter is the best medicine. ” One person certainly would have agreed with this is Norman Cousins.
Norman Cousins was the editor of a magazine called Saturday Review for almost forty years. He also 1 and spoke about world peace and anti-war issues (反戰議題) ，traveling to many different countries to share his 2 .
